We understand that being self employed is different and can be difficult. We understand that you are trying to build something special, something about which you are passionate. You don’t just clock in at 9am and clock out at 5pm. Sometimes you have to skip lunch (maybe even dinner) to get the job done.

RedZed started out as a small business and we have experienced all the good and the bad that comes with this badge of honour. The challenges of being self employed is something we think about day in day out.

We are proud to say that along our journey we have helped over 6000 customers lending over $5 Billion. We currently manage in excess of $1.5 Billion, most of which has been used to help self employed Australians strive to achieve their ambitions. Whilst we are still on our journey to be the preferred lender to Australia’s self employed, we want to assist you on your journey.

FAQs

We’ve made it easy for you to get up to speed on loan advice, accreditation and more.

How do I get a loan if I’m self-employed?
Group 2 Created with Sketch.

RedZed is a specialist lender that provides loans for self-employed borrowers. Because the big banks and other lenders tend to have very specific documentation requirements, it can be very difficult for self-employed borrowers to get a loan through these lenders.

RedZed has different documentation requirements, also known as ‘Alt Doc’, which take into account each self-employed borrowers particular financial circumstances, including their income and assets.

Why should I apply for an Alt Doc loan?
Group 2 Created with Sketch.

It’s common for self-employed to be unable to meet the documentation requirements of standard loans offered by the big banks and other lenders. This is because these loans primarily target PAYG workers, who are typically able to provide the documentation required.

Self-employed borrowers have specific financial circumstances with specific documentation, which very often necessitates the need for an Alt Doc loan.
