RedZed x One Roof Paving The Way Recap and Photogallery

On November 27, 2018, we were proud to sponsor RedZed x One Roof Paving The Way at One Roof Melbourne.

It was a night of inspiration as a panel of four successful self-starters – Justin Dry from Vinomofo, Cyan Ta’eed from Hey Tiger, and Hannah Spilva and Verity Tuck from LVLY – spoke candidly about their passions, challenges, failures, and successes.

Are you thinking about finance for your business? See how RedZed can help, and find out if a RedZed loan is right for you.

Justin talked about his love of islands, the superhero self-image he uses to inspire himself when things get tough, and importance of learning from failure – as he said, most entrepreneurs have five or six failures before they succeed.

“You are not your business. Your ideas and the success of what you do does not define your self worth.” – Justin Dry, Vinomofo

The panel discussed how self-starters can achieve an elusive but important work-life balance, but came to the conclusion that what works best for one person isn’t necessarily right for the next.

“What I do think is really important, especially for entrepreneurs, is self-care.” – Cyan Ta’eed, Hey Tiger

We learnt from Hannah and Verity about what makes a successful small business partnership – having complimentary skillsets, setting ground rules early on, and being able to have open, honest and hard conversations.

“Everyone will give you unsolicited advice. Listen to everything everyone has to say but ignore 90% of it. Go with your gut and what’s going to work for you.” – Hannah Spilva, LVLY
