The Western Australian government has announced the Tourism Recovery Fund to assist that state’s tourism industry during this period.

The relief package, worth $14.4 million, has been developed to assist businesses in the tourism industry to continue to operate.

Eligible small businesses can apply for a $6,500 cash payment. To access this grant, businesses need to:

  • Have a valid ABN
  • Be an active member or hold accreditation with an approved program
  • Submit a Tourism Business Recovery Plan

WA Businesses that intend to reopen in line with the Phase 2 roadmap will need to ensure they complete a COVID Safety Plan and display a poster in a prominent area, so the public knows they are taking steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

More information on the Tourism Recovery Fund and the online application form can be found at: www.tourism.wa.gov.au/WATourismRecoveryProgram.
