RedZed’s head of marketing Angelo Klidomitis is a big fan of small business podcasts, and loves sharing his recommendations. This week, he’s reviewed an episode of The Introvert Entrepreneur, a podcast by personal and professional development expert Beth Buelow.

Episode 149: Kwame Christian, Negotiating for Success
Running Time: 37 minutes

This is a podcast hosted by Beth Buelow, a business coach focused on assisting introverts to get the most out of their personal and professional lives.

In the episode I’ve selected, Beth interviews Kwame Christian, business lawyer and founder of the American Negotiation Institute. Kwame has some helpful advice and negotiation techniques for those of us that may be more introverted.

What I enjoyed most about this episode was the fact that many of the suggestions are equally applicable to both our personal and professional lives.

There are a number of areas covered across the discussion between host and guest, including the concept of anchoring, which is the idea that when negotiating, people will often focus on the first piece of information they hear during a discussion. The pair also speak about how to hold your ground, and maintain control during a negotiation.

For me, however, the most interesting points of discussion centred around how to understand your own personality, and managing your energy levels when you’re negotiating.

Hopefully you find this episode as interesting and insightful as I did. You can find this episode on iTunes and on The Introverted Entrepreneur website.
