What is a Target Market Determination?

A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document which describes:

  • the persons for which the product has been designed,
  • the conditions around the product’s distribution,
  • when this TMD will be reviewed, and
  • recording, keeping and reporting obligations of distributors.

Please note that this document is not a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) nor a comprehensive summary of the product features or terms of the product. The TMD does not take into account any person’s individual objectives, financial situation or needs.

Why does RedZed have a Target Market Determination?

From the 5th October 2021, we are required to have a TMD under the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019.
